About the Role
Within our technical department, the Construction discipline plays a vital role in designing and realizing the structural framework of high-end vessels. You'll be responsible for ensuring that every part of the hull structure is technically sound and manufacturable—from the initial concept to detailed production drawings.
As Technical Project Lead in Construction, you are both the technical expert and the organizational driver within your field. You will oversee the full scope of engineering activities for your discipline, ensuring seamless coordination between design, production, and external partners. You safeguard quality, monitor progress, and ensure that budgets are respected.
Key Responsibilities In this multifaceted role, you lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders. You will develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges related to hull and exterior construction. Acting as the key link between clients, production teams, and engineering, you ensure everything comes together perfectly.
Your responsibilities include:
Technical Feasibility & Compliance: Assess whether designs meet all relevant standards and manufacturing requirements.
Leadership & Quality Assurance: Guide and support engineers, check documentation, and ensure technical accuracy.
Planning & Coordination: Contribute to project schedules, structure information flow, and coordinate task distribution.
Collaboration & Communication: Align with clients, suppliers, production, and project teams to meet shared goals and solve challenges effectively.
Your Profile
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Engineer or 3 years as a Project Engineer in shipbuilding or a similar industry.
Proven expertise in hull construction and structural design within the luxury yacht or shipbuilding sector.
Skilled in CAD and 3D modeling tools; ideally experienced with AutoCAD, Cadmatic, and Siemens NX.
Knowledge of structural analysis, FEM/stress calculations, weight control, and cost estimation.
Strong technical understanding of production methods and construction processes for complex vessels.
Analytical mindset with a commitment to quality and results.
Excellent team and communication skills.
